Manju Jois

Manju Jois & Greg Tebb, ‘Ashtanga Yoga: Yoga  Chikitsa, Nadi Shodhana, Mantra & Traditional Hatha Yoga Shloka’, 2012.

Five years ago, Manju called his longtime student Greg Tebb with the idea of putting together a book combining the Ashtanga yoga system and traditional “shlokas” (verses) from the Hatha Yoga Pradipika. Since that first idea, they have expanded the scope of the book (now in its 3rd edition) to also include shlokas from the Geranda Samhita and Yoga Rahasya. First introduced at Manju’s teacher training workshops.

– Primary series – Yoga/Roga Chikitsa (yoga/disease healing section)
– Intermediate series – Nadi Shodhana (body channel cleaning section)
– Vedic peace chants and other Sanskrit chants that Manju uses in his teaching
– Traditional yoga slokas (Sanskrit teachings) from reference books such as Hatha Yoga Pradipika highlighting the curative benefts and technical aspects of the yoga practice.
